Reception

Welcome

A very warm welcome to your Sharley Park Journey from the EYFS Team, we can’t wait to get to know you and work together to ensure the children’s experience is a fabulous one and they get the most out of every single minute. If you have any questions or worries please don’t hesitate to drop us a message via ClassDojo or have a chat with us.

In the team we have Mrs Wass who is the Brown Mouse Boss! She loves telling stories and exploring, particularly outside. Her favourite subject is Maths, as there are so many mathematical patterns and objects in the environment. She loves watching soppy films and eating chocolate buttons!! Miss Coulton is the White Mouse Boss she is so excited to be your Reception teacher! She loves reading stories and exploring outside. Her favourite thing to learn about is Literacy which means she love all things reading, talking, listening, and using your imaginations! At home, she has a cheeky dog called Phoebe who loves walks and getting very muddy paws!

We also have a fabulous team of Teaching Assistants; Miss Coope, Mrs Owens, Miss Cousins, Mrs Johnson and Mrs Weldin, without who the classroom would not run like it does.

This half term our topic is ME& MY COMMUNITY
Ready…Steady...School! Begin the Sharley Park journey by learning about our school community and building friendships. Explore the school grounds and find out about all the people in school who are there to help you. Discover how special and unique you are, and how everyone's family is different. Take part in practical activities to build new friendships and explore what makes a good friend. Find out about people in the community who help us, including doctors, nurses, and the emergency services. It's the start of an exciting adventure!

  • We g outside in all weathers so please make sure your child is dressed for it! Whether that be wellies (we ask that a pair is kept in school) and raincoats or sun hats and sun cream!
  • Don’t forget to bring your cuddly mouse!
