Year 4

Welcome

A very warm welcome from the Year 4 team. In Year 4 we have, Miss Page, Mr Sherwood, Miss Sykes, Miss Peat, Miss Lawrence, Miss Glover and Mrs Brown.

Hi everyone, I’m Miss Page and I teach Puffin class. I love it when my classroom is full of smiles and laughter. I love things all Harry Potter and spending time with a good book! My favourite subject to teach is English as I love to see my class enjoying an exciting story, writing creatively and asking curious questions.

Hi guys, I’m Mr Sherwood and I teach Snake class. I set out to create a fun and safe learning experience for all the pupils in my class. I want every child to feel that they are supported and their opinions are heard. My main passions is History and I love to see the children engage with the past and become budding historians.

This half term we will be focusing on Geography, in particular “USA vs Russia”. Our focus in Science will be states of matter where we will be experimenting with solids, liquids and gases. In art, we will be focussing on drawing and using different shading techniques to bring our drawings to life.  

 

Important Information

  • The school day starts at 8:45am, the children should arrive promptly ready to start their learning
  • School uniform should be worn every day. Place orders on school app.
  • PE days are Tuesday (outdoor) and Friday (indoor)
  • Children will need to bring their reading diaries and reading books every day. Friday is when we look in reading diaries and count reads for our Sharley Reading Raffle in Friday’s assembly.
  • Children should be regularly logging onto TT rockstars for 15 minutes at a time in readiness for their upcoming MTC check.
